About

My name is Michelle Gerrard and I have been photographing life for over 30 years. I have always had a camera in my hand. I began to have a serious interest in portrait work as a teenager, as I used photography as a way of connecting with people, I am intrigued by our human condition, what makes us alive, what is common to us all and what sets us apart.  My first love is film. I began developing and printing images in my bathroom. Although working now in the digital arena I still have an eye  on the analogue. I am currently working on large printed collages as art pieces from events.  Authenticity is at the heart of my work.

I am based in Berkhamsted, Hertfordshire and I am available to work worldwide.

With a keen eye for detail and a passion for storytelling, I bring 3 decades of experience in both film and digital photography to every project. Specialising in corporate work, events and large-scale collages, I blend technical expertise with creative vision to capture moments that speak volumes. Whether working with corporate clients to create impacting visual narratives or curating dynamic event photography or collages, my work is defined by its professionalism, clarity, and artistry. My diverse background brings a unique perspective to each shoot, delivering images that leave a lasting impression.

My training and experience is in all styles of photography and I have worked with people of all ages, background and abilities. I am DBS checked.

Chris Hardy, Managing Director of Charles Sydney Wines

"We've asked Michelle to photograph our annual wine tasting event in London. We were delighted with the quality of her work and specific editing needs we've had in order to show more detail. She was brilliantly discreet which in turn allowed her to capture the true flavour of our event. I would strongly recommend Michelle for her professionalism, and attention to detail and this is clearly displayed in quality of the photos she has produced on the day.”
